Thirty-five years ago I entered the January class of the John Marshall Law School in Chicago - having missed the Fall admission the prior year due to the birth of my twin daughters. Immediately I found a home at the JMLS on Plymouth Court in Chicago in its evening program, as I worked full-time (as did most of my peers in the night program). It is a great law school in Chicago, now affiliated with the University of Illinois. It has turned out many great lawyers in all fields of law. The credentials of the professors who teach there are of the highest. The school has given many individuals an opportunity to attend law school . It has many alums who have gone on to become judges and other public officials.. I will be forever thankful for the opportunity to graduate from John Marshall in 1963. John Marshall Law School is a really great school. I attended the night program after work, and it was just great !
I entered JMLS as an evening student 41 years ago. What I wanted and needed was a good, practical legal education for a first generation lawyer who had to work his way through school. At that time, the school was transforming into an institution with higher aspirations. The memories of "..the school anyone could get into but no one survives" were still as fresh as an open wound.
