I recently had a disappointing experience while trying to adopt a kitten and wanted to offer some constructive feedback that could improve the process for others. Another adopter arrived at 8:45 a.m. EST, while I arrived at 9:50 a.m. The shelter opens at 10 a.m., but because they were there earlier, they were given first dibs and adopted the kitten I had come to meet.
