To be clear this critique is less about staff, and more about the institutional landscape that we have in the county regarding the treatment towards clients by those in control of public funds. The organization has a lot of potential, but it needs to tighten up its operations and demonstrate more genuine regard for the population it claims to serve. Too often, case workers and counselors describe themselves as service-oriented, yet seem disconnected from the realities of the people they work with.
