Absolutely unforgettable experience! We did the half-hour helicopter tour over Franz Josef Glacier today, and it was hands down the best thing I’ve ever done in my life. Mitch checked us in and got us sorted—he was awesome—and Richard was our pilot, absolute legend. The views were just unreal. I’ve travelled to a lot of places, but this was truly next-level. Obviously weather plays a part, but if you get the chance, do not miss this. Still buzzing!
Amazing heli hiking experience
The experience was good but could have been better as it was very crowded considering the fragile ecosystem of these glacier the gear quality were not great compared to the ones provided by Fox Glacier Heli Hike team. For each batch they have multiple batches so they were apprx 44 of us. Which were divided in 4 teams of 11 each. While i did try with Fox glacier but to weather conditions turning bad they cancelled the hike last minute. No of participants is way less comparatively.
Ridiculous the amount of noise you do in the glaciers all day, I hope you go bankrupt soon! Hiking in the area is like being in a war zone because of this ridiculous service. Avoid this at all cost if you actually love nature and want to preserve it! Such a disgrace
