Established in 1985 as a windsurfing beachwear lifestyle shop The Hardwear Company quickly grew into Kenora's Bike Ski and Paddleports headquarters. Always on the forefront of new sports being the first to introduce mountain bikes, snowboards , stand-up paddleboarding and kitesurfing to the Lake Of The Woods area. We only carry products we use ourselves for sports we participate in. Stop in and say hello and tell us your stories of epic days on the lake , slopes or trails.

Didn't buy a bike, but the store is def good quality stuff and the atmosphere is very ambient hip, sport active lifestyle. Prices are spectrum from good quality beginner/intermediate to expert. If you think your kid is only gonna use it once or twice in a summer, just go get the "cheap" stuff... Seeing as I bike with my daughter on the regular, I would see these bikes as long term, high active investments. They don't do payment plans, not everyone has $3000 available. Stopped there while touring cross Canada. Amazing owner! He allowed me to use his stand and tools to fix my bike! Very nice stop for cyclists if you need anything for your bike!
Stephen the owner and Adam the mechanic are great to deal with and are extremely knowledgeable and honest. . We bought 2 Giant electric bikes and they are amazing. We were offered a test ride and fell in love with the bikes right away. My wife got hers off the floor and they worked hard to find me one and had it shipped in from BC at no extra charge in less than a week. Outstanding people. We will be recommending them to all!!
Amazing customer service by very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Stephen, the owner, was happy to go the extra mile to help me get my bike back on the road to continue my journey across Canada. Quality service with great inventory stock to get me safely back on the road. Also very knowledgeable about road conditions and safety concerns in the surrounding area. Would happily recommend friends to return here.
I was gifted an old Norco Nomad Magnum that had been left in the bush for 30 plus years. I took it into the shop and I was told what work needed to be done and the cost of each part that needed replacing. I got it back and besides needing a bit of paint it works like new!
