I had the worst experience with the Goddard of Temple Terrace. I was surprised as I heard good reviews from others, however Liz who I believe is the director is not kid friendly nor welcoming. They never return my calls when asked. I enrolled my daughter for 4 days and pulled her out due to the way the teacher that was in there treated the kids and spoke to them in ways I’ve never spoken to my daughter. We had such a wonderful experience touring The Goddard School! From the moment we walked in, the environment felt warm, welcoming, and engaging for young children. What really stood out to me was seeing preschoolers actively working on sight words in a way that was fun and developmentally appropriate. First impressions are extremely important, and my experience with this location has been excellent so far. I originally tried to schedule a tour through the online link, but no availability showed for today. I called and was able to be squeezed in, which I really appreciated. Colleen provided great insight into the daycare and took the time to answer all of my questions in person, as well as follow-up questions I later sent via email—she responded very promptly. Could not have chosen a better option for VPK for our daughter. Beyond happy with our 2 years with Goddard. The teachers are incredible and care for the kids as if they were their own. Staff and owners are always kind and make you feel like family. We're devastated that our time is coming to an end, but grateful for the time we've had with them! Could not recommend enough.
The staff has been excellent throughout our child's growth, milestones, and educational development! Even when problems/regressions arose they were extremely helpful about hearing what we wanted as parents and assisting us in setting an exceptionally high standard for our daughters development.
