Goddard (Greater Heights) is such an amazing school!! Our daughter started with them a few months ago and I have nothing but positive things to say about the school and more specifically, her teachers. They made the transition to daycare so smooth and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is seeking care for their child.
I will never recommend this daycare to a parent. Please be very careful with communication with the staff when choosing this daycare. Ask for everything in writing, every report and every communication, do not let the teachers let you think a conversation in passing is a way for them to give you feedback on your child. Ask for specific observations on your child. Their app updates are all generic and they don’t actually give you individual updates on your child ever. As a father I was treated not as an equal parent. I would not feel comfortable recommending this school to any parent, especially if you are a father and an equal caretaker for your child. The school is unprofessional and some of the teachers have poor training. The owner never met my wife and I in 3 years, so please don't fall for their schtick of a small run business. They are indeed a corporation. Do your due diligence.
As a former education director at Goddard Greater Houston Heights, I can say with all certainty that this program is exceptional! Aside from the warm, family atmosphere, the teacher training program surpasses anything I have witnessed in almost thirty years of early childhood education. Students are heard, respected, and allowed to learn through play and at a pace that meets them where they are.
