Two years in I think I can give a pretty accurate review: we are desperately looking for another facility for my mom and her husband, I do not suggest anyone place their loved one or ones in this facility OR their sugar mill location. What the management owner and administration allow residents to be subjected to from other residents is abusive and violating. Absolutely love this building every time I come in there I am greeted with happy faces and smiling patients. I always feel very welcome when I come to visit at the Gardens Assisted Living facility in CITRUS County. It is a great assisted living facility with a home like feel and every person in the building knows the name of the resident or patients . This building has come a long way!! This company does not pay their subcontractors timely! When you call, they place you on hold and never return. Voicemails and emails are all ignored. I wouldn’t want my loved one to stay in a facility that couldn’t manage their bills appropriately!

Do not send your family here. There are unhygienic standards, dirty floors and bathrooms. Bedbugs that were not resolved in a timely manner. Food is being cooked in dirty water and patients do not have clean water to bathe in. Limited staff so patients are not properly monitored or checked in on. Unexplained injuries due to lack of care. Improper medication management that lead to additional health concerns.

This facility has done a total 180!. I know it's hard to live a bad reputation down from the past, but the new administrator has came in and totally turned this place around for the better. She is loving, caring, and concerned with everyone's wants and needs. The facility itself has made Major cosmetic changes and is still going through some renovations.
