Nice place but I honestly felt uncomfortable, also this market is much more pricey than Whole Foods and Trader Joes
My daughter wanted sushi and she did say it was good. It was better than Publix but their chicken wings were dried out and hard. We won't spend our money on that anymore. Fresh Market your losing your touch.
Excellent place for special cuts of meat and premium produce and cheese. The Fresh Market (TFM) brand coffee is fantastic and a great value...free samples available all day, every day. Nice selection of bulk nuts, grains and candies. Good wine corner. Not a place to do stock-up shopping because you'll pay way too much for basic supplies, paper products, snacks, etc. because The Fresh Market is not about the basics. Rude, uncaring staff and dirty store – They have a great meat department, and pretty good fresh veggies, but the surly and uncaring employees make shopping here unpleasant. The green shopping baskets are always filthy, and on a recent visit there were flies on the inside of the individual muffin display, and at least 20 containers of Noosa yogurt were more than 5 days out of date. Fake organic, rude people – I used to go to the Fresh Market until I had this experience. I was looking for organic pears, and I asked an employee to help me, he was rude, he was chatting with another employee, and we have an argument about if it was organic or not. He said it was, but they were mixed with others products that were not organic. I called the manager, and she excused the employees. I was in shock. . They never apologize. I don't trust their quality anymore.
Not a happy camper – I really used to love Fresh Market and actually I still like the one on Woodburn Rd in Raleigh but I will never go back to the one on Falls of Neuse even though it is half the distance. The only shrimp they had was farm raised, the staff was not friendly like they are on Woodburn Rd, the customers are very snobby, I ordered Ceviche at the Deli counter and the man behind the counter threw in some cooked shrimp! Fresh Ghetto Fabulous Market – Wow! I have been to several different Fresh Market locations in North Carolina, and I am simply stunned to know that the N. Parham location is actually part of the same company. There is such a vast difference in service and food selection. I was very disappointed when I visited that location. Horrible Service – Okay, I just wanted a GD cupcake from the bakery section. There were 2 employees behind the case, just standing around talking about their BF and not acknowledging me at all. Then they walk away, still without saying a word to me or the other people standing around waiting for service. Another employee walks up and still does not acknowledge me.
