Still small bank service. They treat you like family.
I stopped in to get a money order and immediately was profiled. The teller asked if I had an account I responded yes gave her my id and she asked if I had a check. I responded no ma'am I Don't she looks at me as if I shouldn't be in the bank. She pulls up my account and to her surprise I have several accounts. But she continues being unprofessional so I told her I just need a money order. Of course to my surprise the machine jams and she has to call someone to fix it. I've been using The First for personal and business checking accounts for 7+ years and have been very pleased with their service. I regularly visit this branch and all of the ladies are always happy and helpful!
Went there on a recommendation by someone for a mortgage. Didn't feel it when i got there and wasn't surprised by the result but i prefer to be treated with a little more respect. Telling me the chances of me getting approved at 90% then calling me to tell me that my tax person (professional bookeeper with 30+ years of experience) doesn't know how to do taxes! Perhaps i should go to the mortgage dept to do my future taxes too!
