Very cute fabric shop
I like to support local businesses, so I hesitate to write a mediocre review for a local store. The fabric selection is excellent, and I go there for that. However, the owner can be rude. As just one example, they overcharged me for one fabric, so I called them and made the trip back to the store based on their mistake with barely an apology for wasting my time. I got my late Grandma's Bernina Activa 210 and it hadn't been used in several years. We brought it in somewhere else to get tuned, but it wouldn't even power on. So I brought it to The Fig Leaf and before they would take it, they suggested I try plugging it in for an hour or two with the switch flipped to be on to recharge something. That fixed it. We are lucky to have this caliber of full service shop in FC. The quality and selection of stock - machines, accessories, fabric, notions, etc. - is expansive. They service all Bernina machines, something other shops don't due to the complexity and the manufacturer's training requirements. The staff are super knowledgeable and helpful.You can browse on your own or ask for help, they will honor either option. I always visit this store when I am in town. Huge selection of fabrics and the staff are very helpful. They helped coordinate the fabrics I bought for my next quilt.
