I would give it a 0 star if I could. My grandma was here for rehab. She always said they treated her badly, didn’t come in to check on her. Wouldn’t give her daily medication if they didn’t have enough staff. She went to the hospital for an infection, they called on day 2 “is she coming back or are we going to take her stuff out of her room?” No empathy. I was a rehab inpatient here back in the summer of 2022, after a lumbar fusion that went very badly at Abbott NW. The surgeon failed to secure data from a bone density scan, though I was a candidate for, and unknowingly had developed, caused my outcome to be disastrous, but that is another story. I first stayed in Robbinsdale, ,and then to Excelsior for rehab, PT, etc. My care at The Estates was poor, to say the least. Worst care..no compassion..no empathy..the day this place gets shut down the better..not at all worthy of any stars..they have doctored their records..they say no falls..biggest untruth..had gone there more than once to find they had not changed here day to fresh nor rinsed her mouth..never brushed her hair..always had to tell them to keep her pee bag off the floor..check the water in her oxygen..put the mat down..since she had falled..no bandaid because of her skin tears..only to come a week ago to see a bandaid on her..sur... read more
Written by Frank Grasso: When I left U of M Fairview Hospital, I arrived at Estates of Excelsior, not knowing what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised with the employee staff, who were kind, compassionate, very responsible and highly skilled.There were many staff members that I came in contact with, too many to mention.
