Took my new Santa Cruz Tallboy out for its maiden ride and quickly realized the shifting was way way off. A business associate bought me the bike online, so I brought it to The Elephant’s Perch for help. Brian walked me through the whole diagnosis process—turns out it was a faulty derailleur. *Pros* The Perch bike and ski shop is world-class. The service is excellent, and the staff is some of the Wood River Valley's most knowledgeable 'gearheads'. Thank you!!!
STAY AWAY [changed my review to 1 star] From this winter: I went to get my skis waxed with a 10-wax prepaid card from a prior year. While I had a bad experience, I still wanted to use the wax service that I had prepaid. I show up and they tell me that each pair of skis will now count for “two” prepaid waxes. This is because of new ownership, and because both wax cost and labor doubled. This is absolutely unacceptable, never-heard-of, and just not how you run a business for your customers.
