Our Dad lived here in the last year of his life. During this time I was living in Wisconsin, but was able to come see my Dad a few times at the Elder's Nest, with it's welcoming and well maintained country setting. The facility was always clean and pleasant, with room inside and outside, for family and friends to visit with their loved ones. The caregivers I dealt with were friendly, professional, caring & attentive. It was comforting to know our Dad was being well-taken care of in his last days - Thank You
I would never put any family member here. The owners are fake and talk down to the staff and residents. I have seen Micheal (one of the owners) come down and get upset at the residents. The best staff are nolonger there and the owners behaviors speak as to why. Don’t let the look of the home and fake kindness of the owners fool you.
Although my mother was there for about 6 weeks before she passed, she was so well cared for. Unable to do anything on her own, the caregivers were always tending to her. She was always included in the household activities, moved to the gathering room to a chair and never just left in her room alone. As a family we loved that. She loved watching the activities going on, whether the kitchen, the gathering room, etc. We felt so blessed that we found Elders Nest to place her in and would recommend this facility.
I am so very grateful to have found the Elders Nest to place my husband of 58 years who has dementia/Altzheimers. He gets the kind of care I was looking for. I was made part of the family immediately and owners and staff are very warm and welcoming. I thank God every day for them all.
My father, Vance Witt, was at Elders Nest for the last three years of his life, 2015-2018. He was very happy here with lots of interaction with staff and the owners. They accommodated his diet, oxygen and wheelchair needs. He was well care for both physically and mentally. They always had his morning paper ready at breakfast and let him have a jig saw puzzle to work on in the gathering room. He was able to watch TV in the TV room.
