I came to the disc center after a friend’s referral of having success for ten years. I had my surgery scheduled for two bulging disc pushing against my nerve. I couldn’t, sleep sit for long periods of time and constantly in pain. I tried physical therapy, steroid injections for three years which wasn’t helping. I feel God lead me to the Disc Center. I can’t say enough about Dr. Rafferty and his more than fabulous team. I have never experienced such a kind, generous, caring team of people at a doctor’s office before. I went in not in the greatest shape from my back pain and finished the process feeling like a new person! I highly recommend Dr. Rafferty and his entire team to anyone considering his program. It’s been 4 years and it’s difficult to put into words how impactful this has been on my life. I’m in almost zero pain after years of unbearable agony, it is a blessing to feel as good as I do. Of course, being in my mid 40s, if I over do it, I get sore. But with a herniated L5-S1 disc and continuous pain, it was a daunting thought how would I be able to manage going forward. My experience with the Disc Institute of Pittsburgh could not have been more positive. I had 3 severly deteriorated disc's in my neck that resulted in significant pain and discomfort. I had lost strength in my hands and arms, and had difficulty sleeping at night for more than 30 minutes at a time.
