The mark up on vintage singles/and all singles in general, is delusional and way above market. Terrible attitude and customer service. Rude and gatekeeper mentality. Poor system for looking at cards.
**★☆☆☆☆ – Prioritizes Scalper Prices Over the Players Who Support Them** If you’re an OP player looking for a local store that actually cares about its community, save your gas. The Deck Box has shown a clear pattern of shifting goalposts, terrible communication, and straight-up market scalping—all while hiding behind “low supply” excuses. I accepted lower rates on my trades thinking I would at least get to buy a box close to msrp (because that's a sane price for a store to maintain), but then the price was set at $370 and they refused to swap the trade for cash (despite the fact they'll make well over 100% profit on the cards I traded them). My fault for being fool... read more
most expensive singles and sealed product in asheville and the surrounding area. treats the local community terribly.
I’ve seen varying members of their team in lines at targets, Walmart, and many other places. This place is worse than the worst vendor at any card show. They’ll pay 50% and sell for 150% of market. Sold me a $20 for $80. Granted, I should have researched the price myself beforehand, but doesn’t take away from turn fact that they’re scamming everyone around here. Great place to play but worst place to spend money.
