We had the most wonderful visit to Davis Farm in Port Macquarie. My six-year-old felt incredibly special being able to pat the baby bunnies and feed the goats — it was such a beautiful, hands-on experience for her. We ended up staying for hours because the staff were so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely lovely. The Davis farm was such a wonderful experience. It is a small farm but packs a punch in customer service. The staff were lovely and informative and my kids got cuddle a rooster called Pedro to sleep, cuddle and feed bunnies, feed chooks and ducks! One staff member helped us through the farm directing us where to go and giving us special experiences along the way. It was unhurried, not too busy and we stayed 2 hours. Fantastic little gem, nice easy stroll around the farm, certainly a hit if you have little ones, animals are all well taken care of and staff that are on site are always friendly and engage with everyone.
Unfortunately, we really didn’t enjoy our visit to Davis farm. The website promotes an idealistic, family run farm full of happy animals. Going as far as to sell ‘pastured organic pork’. This is not the case. Most of the animals were living in poor conditions. Many were in cramped cages and some did not appear to have access to clean water. The cages themselves are cobbled together and there is junk yard style trash everywhere - even within the enclosures.
