My father is in the memory care unit. I am so glad for these people- he is safe, all meals are provided, the wing is clean, he receives his meds regularly, clothes washed and his room clean. Even though his dementia is his reason for being here, I feel that I do not need to worry for his safety and care. I gave 5 stars because of this. My only concern is many of the staff members do not speak English as their main language. I think the language barrier causes the staff and residents difficulty communicating at times.
This place refused to let me see my stepfather. They refused to let his grandson in to see him. He was married to my Mom since I was 8 years old and has been my stepfather for 42 years. He is 82 years old and Im afraid he may not be with us much longer. I wouldnt give any stars if that was an option.
