I had high expectations for this boutique since my sister found her dress here a few years ago, and the building itself is beautiful. Unfortunately, the service did not match the environment. The layout is a bit confusing, and because the front desk is on the opposite side of the building, I ended up wandering through an empty section of the store just to find an employee. I originally found my wedding dress at another bridal store and ended up buying it through Country Bride and Gent because their pricing was significantly lower. The customer service I experienced was also wonderful! I was able to try on my dress multiple times without an appointment and everyone I interacted with was happy to help me. I ordered my dress about a year before my wedding date and it arrived five months after. Country Bride and Gent was the first bridal salon I visited when starting to look for wedding dresses. The entire staff was instantly warm and welcoming, Laurie especially! She was incredibly soothing and patient, and I felt like she truly listened to what I was looking for. While she encouraged me to try slightly different styles, she was never once pushy about it. My wedding dress itself was absolutely stunning, and I received so many compliments on it all night. However, my biggest regret was having the alterations done here. I was charged over $700 for alterations that mainly included hemming the dress and taking it in because it was too big on me. From the very beginning, I specifically told the seamstress that the top/chest area was way too loose and that I was worried it would fall down. I had a good experience at the beginning, they were very helpful in picking my wedding dress. However, that’s where the good experience stopped. I ordered a size 8 and after weeks of waiting for it to arrive, I was excited to try it on. Sure enough, the size they gave me was a size 12. It wouldn’t even stay on.
