Came for the grand opening and had such a great time.....performers kept us laughing! The scenes were fun and engaging and liked the amount of audience involvement. Chairs chairs chairs was a winner and the cell phone game always gets me lol... Loved the classy yet rustic look of the place and all the chandeliers...bar lighting immediately catches your eye. Even enjoy the murals outside and the door artwork. Intermission is helpful for potty breaks and getting a fresh drink....very cool that they carry liquid death. Goin... read more

We had a wonderful experience hosting our event at the Coronation Theater! The space is beautiful and was a great fit for our performance. We coordinated everything through Hannu, who made the entire planning process easy and seamless. The night of our event, Cynthia, the event manager, was incredibly accommodating, helpful, and easy to work with. She made sure we had everything we needed and helped the evening run smoothly. I came and saw The Canal St Creepshow. It is single-handedly the best live comedy show I have ever seen. I have seen a few famous comedians, who were great, but this show really impressed me. I was entertained the entire time and even started crying from laughter during it. The atmosphere was great for the performance, the staff is friendly and competent, and the venue was perfect for the event. The drinks were reasonably priced and tasted good. I love the Coronation Theater. I can’t recommend it enough, and I am so impressed with their new space! From the gender neutral bathrooms, to the non-alcoholic beverages at the bar, to the all troupe game of freeze at the end of the night, it’s a tangibly inclusive space that feels welcoming, exciting, and fun. This is such a wonder in the East side. The design is cute, the shows are genuinely entertaining, and the seating is largely comfortable. There is nothing ostentatious or unnecessarily fancy about the venue, but it rather has a much more intimate and welcoming feel. Shout out to Preston St. for breaking out into song like five times in thirty minutes.
