My mum, Maggie wantedto do a review on the Connault: I recently had cause to stay at the magnificent Connault - a beautiful and grand convalescence home in Balwyn. The grounds and apartments contained within the spacious mansion are very beautiful and substantial thought had been considered in the interior design. My mum, Bobbie, lived at the Connault for over 4 years and was very happy to call it home. The care she received from all the staff was wonderful and she was always treated with the utmost respect. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always made to feel comfortable and enjoyed the kind and caring attention from all the staff.
We were relieved and pleased that our father, Eric, settled into the Connault so quickly and so well. Being a relatively small facility with a good staff to resident ratio as well as a good nurse to staff ratio, the nurses and staff are able to take a personal interest in the residents; they soon became Eric’s friends as well as his carers. I have been extremely fortunate to have both my parents residents of The Connault. My father first moved there in 2015. He was looked after magnificently by the wonderful staff who assisted him to maintain his independence and continue his work as an author. In 2019, my mother unable to live alone, took up residence in a delightful apartment overlooking the courtyard gardens where she spends a great deal of her time.
