Big hearts for children
This place has literally changed my life. Our attorney, Kate, successfully removed my son from an learning environment that did not meet his needs into a school environment where he thrives. My son was on his 13th suspension and moving toward expulsion and we are now on a path moving forward in collaboration with his current school. I recently left for a new chapter after working at the Children's Law Center for years, and feel privileged to have worked alongside this talented and tenacious group of people. The impact of their direct services to children, young adults and families as well as their efforts affecting broader systems and networks really is enormous. I've seen first-hand the great need for the law center's work, and am glad that Colorado has this excellent resource.
I am not surprised to see so many negative reviews. My experience was no better than others. About a year ago I had contacted the children's law center for assistance. The process moved extremely slowly and a few times I had to call the main office because the attorney assigned to our case did not return my calls for weeks. Finally I was told by the attorney that they were running behind due to staff ossues and so I was waiting to hear from the attorney to sign forms. I cannot recommend the Children's Law Center more. Kacie Mulhern and Kate Gladson will fight for you with the skill and acumen to make you feel like a million dollar client. Gloria is the most patient person I have ever met. Everyone here has a huge heart and truly cares about their clients.
