BEWARE ! I am VERY disappointed with the LPN program at CITI BOCES. It does not match its advertised standards, and I would advise people of color to consider other options. The program lacks diversity, inclusivity, and fairness; it feels prejudiced and biased. They could greatly benefit from trainings on how to interact with students from a person of color in the adult education field, especially regarding appropriate bias trainings. This program should be closed. They are short changing their students, and not preparing them to be good nurses or a nurses at all. They deserve so much more. I've been a nurse for more than 33 years and I've never had the experience that the students of color or LBGTQ+ are subjected to. Also the rudeness of the instructors has me shaking my head as a health care professional. Someone please look into the practices and structure of this program.
