On March 27, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. there was supposed to be a much-advertised presentation on "Hearing Loss". No one ever showed up to give the lecture, and nobody on staff knew anything about it. I finally asked the more senior staff members for info. This was about 11:50. One of them called Clewart Sylvester, the intended presenter, but could not reach him. My first time visiting the Center. I am disabled and have mobility issues. There is no wheelchair accessibility. Can someone explain to me why a Senior Citizen Center does not have a ramp? The Director did not take accountability for this and blamed NYC. Maybe the Director should schedule an appointment and meet in person to expedite the solution to this problem.
