working there for 5 shifts I seen tons of neglect and carelessness in your facility to its residents. Everyone there is taught to "check boxes" on the MAR for cares/ADL whether its done or not, that's called "lying about cares". Karen the manager said your newaygo facility has the lowest percent on med management in all of its facilities, sitting at 70 %'s because Karen and THE BROOK provide next to no training on meds. My brother has been at The Brook of Newaygo for several months. Im there 5 days out of the week. Karen, The Property Manager is wonderful and takes time to talk and get to know the patients. Clean facility. This is not a nursing home, it's a retirement facility. They all have been very kind to my brother and helpful. My opinion is quality help is very hard to find and retain! I feel at peace knowing my brother lives there.

My 92 year old dad (w/ moderate alzhemiers) & us kids are thrilled with the care dad gets here. We love the fact that it is staffed with very kind, compassionate & helpful people. The facility is well maintained & beautiful. This is our 2nd experience with assisted living homes. Mom was at another nice facility. My parents have been living at The Brook for almost 2 years. It is a beautiful, well maintained facility. The culture is one of patience and caring. The Brook offers many opportunities for fun events and group travel. If someone is just a homebody, it is still a great place to be.
