If you get Jamely Leon a parent advocate from the Bronx Defenders forget it she doesn’t want to do any work to help any parents out of court cases. When you do get to briefly talk to her she just tells you to say yes to everything involving the family court and ACS/CPS. Great meetings, programs, and groups.
Not to be trusted. Sided with the landlord from the start. Even recorded our phonecalls without disclosure which I'm pretty sure is illegal. Their whole purpose is to compensate the landlord whether the tenant truly owes them or not. They don't fight for repairs unless pushed to and want to just pay off the landlord and close the case. They look down upon tenants and believe that basic human rights are an amenity, such as hot water. Defend yourself, you're better off
