I have only been there about 3 times in 17 years, and now I know why. While they appear to be pleasant while you are trying on bras, God forbid you decide not to buy, that's where the ATTITUDE sets in! I will NEVER set foot in that store again, don't know how they have remained in business this long. I will take Soma Boutiques over them ANY day!
What? No exchange????? – I went to the bra & girdle factory in lakewood and bought two strapless bras. I wore one to a wedding and found that it was extremely uncomfortable. It caused me pain. I wore one of them so I thought I would bring the other in for an exchange. Seemed reasonable to me. I explained that I have scoliosis that causes my rib cage to protrude on my left side under my breast and could I pls exchange it for a regular bra. The response I got was NO! Nothing but FANTASTIC – I had a wonderful expierence, everyone was GREAT!!!! Then I got to the store and I was taken to a fititng room and never left again. The women waited on me hand and foot, bringing me different style bras and bathing suits. It was great!! I have never had such serve at a store. the sales lady was great I went in for a bra and I left with several and bathing suits. I will be returning soon to have them help me with something under my wedding dress. Can't wait!!!!
Rude and Unprofessional – I had an issue with a return and the manager Doris was very unprofessional in regards to the return. I had purchased a bathing suit top on a Saturday, took it home and changed my mind. The return policy by the register stated items unworn with tags will be refunded within 14 days. I had called the store first thing Monday morning and the employee had checked with the manager to verify the return can be made. The manager said yes to the employee. Rude, Slow, & Frustrating – In Oct 07, I purchased almost $350 and provided my insurance information to get my money back. They promised to file. During my visit, I was told to have a seat and "someone" would help me for 30 minutes. After confirming that people coming in after me were helped, I finally got decent service. SIX month later, my primary insurance has received nothing! They even offered to accept a phone call verifying the purchase.
