The Book Balancer charged our business account for Quickbooks services that we had used in the past but were no longer using. I called multiple times to try to get answers as to why they charged us and every time they just "took a message" and said someone would get back to me but they never did. I continued to call and eventually the lady that answered told me that they would not refund our money and gave no explanation as to what the charges were for and why they wouldn't refund it. Don't use this company!
I called to get a price quote to help me balance my books. It took several calls, asking for hourly rates and I never received a quote. The person who helped me didn’t seem to understand what I was asking for. They asked for access to my Quickbooks account, and they told me to add some accounts back to the file (which wasn’t the issue). I received a letter from this company stating that they had been hired by one of our customers. I was asked to complete a W-9 for transactions over $600. I called to speak with someone and Kristin answered the phone. She was rude, didn't want to answer my question as to why I would need to complete the form, and LITERALLY told me that she was busy and didn't want to talk to me. Read reviews before hiring companies to do your finances!!!
I've been with Jennifer Clennan's The Book Balancer for years. I can highly recommend her. She has helped me manage taxes for my medical clinic, does payroll, helped with PPP loans, insurance audits, etc. She does everything well, and has helped me out A LOT with her quick and efficient work, especially with things that came up outside the norm. You cannot go wrong with her company; they are friendly, professional, efficient and do good work at very reasonable rates.
