I haven't been to Birds and the Beads for years. Felt uncomfortable, always being stared at. I went in today and the new manager/owner was very pleasant. We talked about the beading craze. He did not follow me around the store. The whole vibe is very different. If you haven’t been you need to go there.
Pleasantly surprised by this shop. Huge assortment of beads and supplies, from seed beads to semi precious gemstone beads and everything in between, this shop has it. I see myself becoming a regular here. So much better than the big box crafting stores.

Today was my first time going to The Birds and the Beads. Love their name! Peter was having an estate sale with an unbelievable amount of mostly seed beads in all colors. I came towards the end of the day so I mostly stayed upstairs with the discounted items, but when I paid for my stuff, the first floor was filled with lots of beautiful beads. I will need to go again for a second visit in the future. For now, the beads I selected are for my bead tree projects.
