BAD EXPERIENCE. I took my bicycle in for a tune up and knew it needed a special tire (24" wheel). I was told it would be ready in a week and a half. Booked a bike trip for two weeks. Stopped in on Thursday before my trip and they could not find my work order. The guy, who admitted he was not a mechanic, brought out some ridiculous tires which would not fit and told me my bike would be done asap. Another week later, I stopped by to see if my bike was done. The staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable -- some race and some ride recreationally, making every conversation easy and comfortable. They have all of the common items in stock and carry many USA-made bikes. Good selection of clothing, shoes, etc and are happy to order specialty items quickly.
The first time I went to the bike hub (a few years ago) I felt a little condescended to. It might have just been an off day for someone because since then I've always had a great experience getting my crossbike worked on, especially with Dan. I needed two boxes for shipping bikes and they helped me out. I've never bought a bike there but have really been served well.
The Bike Hub was extremely helpful as I bought my new mountain bike. The Bike Hub's Wednesday night rides are the best in the Upper Valley!
Local shop with knowledgeable staff and friendly service. They have popular weekly group rides for all levels / abilities with a very supportive environment for new(er) cyclists who might be intimidated. This is your quintessential local shop run by passionate staff who clearly love to ride!
