We moved my mother into The Barclay in August of 2023 and have loved every minute of it. The community, activities, dining, staff, and amenities are all excellent. My family is loving that our mother is so happy in this next stage of her life. What a blessing The Barclay is!!
My parents have been living at the Barclay for 3 years. They LOVE it.. and our entire family is beyond thrilled with the staff, facilities, dining areas, and social programs. The staff is like family - and take the time to get to know residents and their families, and are always willing to help... above and beyond... when assistance is needed. The Barclay is TOP NOTCH and the best independent living community in Charlotte. The food is excellent and the people that work there are very helpful and supportive of the needs of the residents. We looked at several options and this is by far THE BEST! They supported my mother and helped her navigate her life after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. I was so scared to move across country and into a senior independent living environment; but this complex is phenomenal! It is cruise ship living on land. Everything reminds me of fabulous vacations I have taken. The list of activities, both on site and off; the elaborate menus, the courteous and supportive staff, and the sparkling decor all emote that “cruise ship vacation” feeling. It is a wonderful place to live. Beautiful surroundings, friendly people. Excellent food service. Many activities, lectures, concerts and outings. Knowledgeable staff that look after everyone from physical health thru exercise to spiritual and emotional health. I could not have made a better choice. Very happy to be here.
