£30 for a day pass is way to much. Like they are living in the past. Rows and rows of unused cardio machines which nobody hardly uses now. Very poor selection of free weights, broken equipment. All add to the mix. Pool is cold and ceiling looks like it's going to come down in places. All in all a very shabby gym which needs a huge investment to bring it up to modern standards.

I’ve had a long and frustrating experience trying to cancel my Bannatyne membership after a price increase. Their own Terms and Conditions (clause 7.1.3) clearly state that members can cancel before a new fee takes effect — which is exactly what I did, in writing, before the increase date. Despite this, Bannatyne repeatedly claimed I still owed another month’s payment under the general 30-day notice rule.
