I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at the Scotiabank branch near Confederation Parkway and Burnhamthorpe Road. I made an Interac e-Transfer for my rent, but the recipient did not receive the money, even after more than 24 hours. Since my landlord needs to receive the payment before handing over the keys to my new home, this has put me in a very stressful and urgent situation. The worst experience here in this particular branch. They can close whenever they want. The staff closed the doors and turned customers away during business hours. They were rude and unprofessional. This kind of treatment toward customers is completely unacceptable. Overall a horrible experience, completely unhelpful and disrespectful. Would not recommend at all.
I want to give special recognition to Durdana Siddiqui and Abla Alzanoon for the excellent support they provided during a very difficult banking issue involving an international transfer. Durdana consistently followed up with the wire department, kept me updated and helped coordinate the corrections needed to move the transfer forward. Very disappointing customer service experience. I am currently outside Canada and contacted the bank’s Customer Care team for immediate assistance. I was specifically provided with the branch manager’s email address ( mansoor ahmad) and was advised to contact the manager directly. I have been trying to reach the manager by email for almost two months, but I have received no response at all, despite the matter being urgent.
