December 3, 2025 LOCK UP YOUR VALUABLES. Locking your unit doesn't prevent theft. My mom lost a sweater jacket, silver bracelet, two wine glasses, a door decoration and $200 in cash taken from her wallet in her file cabinet, before we put a lock on it. Before we got all the boxes moved out, multiple bottles of liquor were taken. Management suggested that if someone wants access to your unit the front desk will accommodate without your permission or knowledge. In our experience, as a former residents at Ackerly , we were dissatisfied with Health and Wellness, giving notice to leave after about 10 days to seek care for my wife elsewhere. Those who give five-star ratings here are likely venders, employees, visitors or family members, not residents. Caution: Do not sign anything here without the review of your attorney. You may need an escape clause in the event of unsatisfactory care and threatened to be turned over to a collection agency, as we were.

This facility has spent months telling residents they are switching TV and internet providers. The new wiring  ( from Enseo) would not be compatible with the existing Xfinity wiring.  Residents like my 90 year old mother were forced to find a new VOIP phone provider., turn in equipment to Xfinity, etc.., change email, etc.   My mother’s apartment was rewired by Enseo two weeks ago. If you expect a safe and protective environment for your Loved One then do not consider BeLLa Villagio. If you want a clear and concise explanation of what you are being charged for do not consider BeLLa Villagio. As one review said and I will repeat the same Don’t let the Crystal chandeliers fool you .

If you truly care about your loved one then PLEASE don't allow them to be put into the Ackerly or any LeisureCare facility. I realize that it's a business and their goal is to make money but they're also dealing with human beings and they didn't treat our Dad as such. Once in memory care, he was left to sit in his chair for most  of the day and all night and developed severe distortion in his neck. He now has trouble breathing, swallowing, and can't even look his loved ones in the eyes. We brought it to management's attentio... read more
