History Established in 1892. In the nineteenth century, the Connecticut Independent Order of Odd Fellows Grand Lodge had a vision for the future. That 1892 vision resulted in the creation of Fairview, Odd Fellows Home of Connecticut, as a non-profit home for seniors. At that time Connecticut had 15,000 Odd Fellows practicing the organization's three principles of Friendship, Love and Truth.
