Texas Hatters has been my go-to hatter for many, many years, ever since they were located in the Buda area. I own upwards of 8 of their custom hats and have visited their shop dozens of times to buy hatbands and get my hats shaped up. Unfortunately with David's passing the shop no longer offers quality work. The kids running it don't have the experience nor the temperment to provide the same quality of work. This place is just part of Texas History! If you are from Texas you just have to have a hat made from here. David and his team do an awesome job from start to finish!
Davis is extremely knowledgeable about everything to do with hats & heads. He is so friendly, let’s you roam around to your hearts content to see all the historical equipment (still be used today mind you) and answer all your questions. His hats are of great quality and reasonably priced. You go there to get a “custom” hat, not a hat off the rack like you would at a western clothing store. It’s worth the trip!!
great place to get a custom made, fitted hat. Pretty much any style you can thinknof.
I went in to get a hat I had shaped originally. Met David and had a great conversation with him. A few months later I had him make me a hat. Now I wear it to all my music shows! Start to finish was about two weeks! I couldn’t be more happy!
