We visit them on 8/7 with ALL documents required ready to go. All documents required FOLLOWING the checklist on their own website. We had proof of identity, proof of residency, proof of 6 hour course, application. When we get called, the lady states “sorry you are missing the Impact course”. I showed her that on their website it states that it is not REQUIRED but RECOMMENDED for people over 25. She said she does not follow the website and we need it and asked us to leave. We drove from Dallas over to this office for our son's permit and then license six months later. The wait was under ten minutes each time. The staff was kind and helpful. Processing was efficient and took very little time.
It was pleasant visiting Texas department of public and safety. The employees are so gentle, incredibly kind and attentive. Got my work done without wasting my time.
