WORST bank ever Customer Service is so deficient, I opted to close all of my accounts on the spot. When the representative proceeded to close all of my accounts without so much as a question or apology, I absolutely had to pose a few questions. How long have you worked here? She answered 13 years. Texans Credit Union is great as long as you don't need customer service. Great bank as long as you don't actually need to talk to a person. If it weren't convenient (in my building) I would close my account, in fact I was in the process of closing my account when I learned about their High Interest checking account, which I am trying. If it fails to impress, I'm gone.
Texans Credit Union DOES THINGS ILLEGAL! Do not use this bank! Went in for a personal loan, submitted for a car loan and prior to even filling out an application, the Financial Services Manager at the McDermott location was trying to discourage us from applying for the loan. What she did not know was I have an extensive banking background and it was illegal to try to discourage us for applying for a loan. Called member services to speak with a manager. Texans is not a good company to do business with for an auto loan. Lousy member services support. Poor followup on important questions. Major error in processing a payment that has caused issues. Cannot even get a response from higher management on the issue. Behind on technology... can't make online payments without a checking account with them, etc. Incompetent staff. Never do business with Texans.
Terrible Service & Extremely Disorganized It's no wonder this location is closing! The service is awful and the people aren't easy to work with.
Inefficient, Lacksidaisical Staff I have a car loan through this institution, and I make my payments over the phone. So far I have made three payments, and every one of them has been a long, drawn-out ordeal. It's like none of the staff understand how to make a phone transaction correctly the first time. They either always write the incorrect bank info, forget to get key info from me to make the transaction, or simply forget to make the transaction altogether. I can only say good about them This credit union is only avaialble for certain people that work at nearby businesses. But if you are able to use them please do. They gave me my first auto loan at the lowest rate I could find out there. Will do business with them again.
Decent I deposited a few checks here and they gave me a little trouble because I didn't bring my drivers liscence. I always thought you did not need ID to deposit checks, but apparently it's different here than from everywhere else. The people are nice, but they don't seem to really care about you.
Great place to bank Saved us a bundle on our car and boat! Have had nothing but pleasant and helpful member service contact. They are eager to help and look at all avenues of help in financing and refinancing.
