I fell in love with this magnificent shop in my fifties. It was always like a trip to France for me. And even though I had little money ,I was always able to find a little something to buy and take home and treasure. I am now almost eighty, and have had a trip to France. And I still am able to buy the occasional gift, or treat for myself with something small and precious from Tessuti. My absolute favourite shop.
After stalking their online catalogue for many years I finally overcame the geographical bounds keeping me away and found Tessuti to be a charming and beautifully arranged shop with friendly staff and the porcelain tealight igloo of my dreams. I’m so glad I made the pilgrimage to come and see the wares in person, and I will definitely be back when I’m next in Auckland. Thanks again to the lovely staff who made me feel very welcome.
