Came down to Terlingua after hearing about the night sky and this was certainly an excellent choice. The place is not in terlingua proper, but in this area you learn that everything is spread out and you're going to have to drive to get almost anywhere. We came here over Labor Day weekend and the temperatures were extreme. We used this as our home base and it was really great because it had a saltwater pool, which was actually very rare. Great place just a long way out
Was good to be there for the meteor shower under dark clear skies However their cafe isn't open on Wednesdays and Thursdays so couldn't get anything, and a power cut knocked out the AC, and they close preception at 5pm so there was no one to speak to. There's no phone signal and without power the wifi was gone too so absolutely no comms. The water for the bath also didn't work
Stayed at RV spot...awesome place off grid
