Nice, but overpriced! The items sold at Ten Thousand Villages are very nice, but just cost too much. I wonder how much the artists actually get after all the other overhead is payed.
A great place to shop, that you feel good about spending your money at~ Ten Thousand Villages is a store that specializes in free trade EVERYTHING -- they buy crafts and art work from people in far away lands, pay them a fair price for their work, and then sell is at amazing prices in the store -- they stock musical instruments and fair trade coffee, jewelry and decorations --
African Style man! This is a great african-inspired shop with a very large selection of wooden drums, flutes, chairs, tables, toys, kites, beads, ect. I like the people that work there a lot. Most of them are good people that live around the area. The prices are quite high though. Over all I would recomend this to anyone.
