Telstra sells expensive phones to old people and doesn't want to help them transfer data and re-start apps. Today one very nice manager at Australia Fair, actually took a little time out to connect some apps for me. We at our ages, 85 plus, are not tech savvy. We do our best. Many of us are experts at other things. We studied differently and absorbed knowledge in a different way. Not as frenetic. I visited Telstra Australia Fair at 10am today ( 20 June 24). The girl who served me was quite patronising. I had 2 simple quick questions to ask. She made me feel very unwelcome. The young man at the front appeared to busy on his mobile phone to do more that point me in the direction of other staff. Perhaps staff training in friendliness would be helpful.
Small store, located near entry door of Australia Fair opposite escalator. If you’re gonna visit this store Nick is the man you’d want to speak to. He is the best! terrible service, first I needed new phone when I couldn't come next morning at 9am due to working told had to wait a whole week for an appointment. I bought phone else where as I need phone kept my appointment to transfer my data which was already 1/2 done however I need my email account set up on new phone.
