The Rice University Education Program and the Principal Certification classes pushed me to think critically about my teaching practices and ensure that I led educational spaces with strong research-based practices. The classes were rich in discussion, and I built relationships with my colleagues and professors that continue to support me in my role as an instructional leader.

I learned more from the professors in the Rice Education Department than any other undergraduate instructor I had the pleasure of working with. The program combines sound pedagogy with practical application of those concepts through student teaching. It is difficult for me to imagine a more effective program to prepare me to serve the needs of my students.

I attended principal certification courses at the Glasscock School of Education at Rice University. My professors were all practitioners who had their own experiences in education and carried a wealth of knowledge and practical advice based on their experiences. They were well-versed in current research and best practices in the field. I also truly appreciated that the coursework included great practices for adult learning.... no traditional "sit and get" here!!
