If you book an appointment and you get Tarun Bhardwaj, cancel it. I went in just to open a TFSA after I was told I’d have to go to a branch. Tarun proceeded to spend the next 10mins trying to sell me mutual funds I had no interest in. After, again, clarifying that I just wanted to open a TFSA, he said in a very condescending tone that he’s a financial advisor that helps with mutual funds and if that’s all I needed I’d have to go to a teller, basically kicking me out. Why do the tellers have different policy/procedures from each other? Frustrating to deal with tellers that have different information. The one tell didn't even know about personal taxes/tax refund.
Unbelievable amount of disrespect. An elderly woman working behind the desk falsely informed me that my cheque was invalid. I called another branched they informed me was correct and she was not. After which I returned to have it deposited, rather than admit her mistake makes up some story of how they won’t honour the full amount because it’s “too close” to the date again violation of their policy.
