The staff are kind people, who are looking out for corprate's best intentions. NOT yours. I keep turning my brain about an interaction i had there earlier today, after learning about the abundance of fraud going on locally. Thinking about how banks aren't adopting online ID verification to protect clients. I had a hold put on my account, by a helpful, smart employee at different branch, due to some fraud happening. TD is using its lawyers and resources to scam people with fees. When paying a mortgage in full, they are not automatically applying the 15% of the principal penalty free for a calendar year unless you request it or make a separate payment in advance. They made around $2 billion last year by scamming working people with counterintuitive fine print like this.
