Update: despite all the commotion, the entire cheque was released that day. Again, I understand it’s not the branch’s fault and everyone is always lovely - a good learning experience and am now aware to never expect to be able to cash cheques over $2000 anywhere without a hold regardless of any factors (familiarity, account history, etc) Things I appreciate about TD on Ellis: 1. Banked with TD for my entire working life (since I was 12 years old working Christmas Day at Denny’s) and they won’t let me deposit a $4000 cheque without a hold! Love everyone that works there but this is so frustrating
