They refused to cash a government cheque despite me having a drivers license, passport, and other documentation. The tellers were inexperienced and confused. The manager was incompetent. I’m glad I’m not a regular customer. I went to Progressive Credit Union where I was treated like a human, they cashed my cheque and the whole experience was great.
Spent 2hrs in there the first time to do a simple transfer of funds between a savings account and a mutual fund account. Whatever, the representative was nice. Then I notice that the funds had not yet moved after several weeks, so I call. The representative said "yeah you have to come in and re-fill the paperwork." I went in to ask a couple questions and the guy behind the counter snapped at me, and walked away from me. He was extremely rude for no reason. I'm autistic, so I have trouble speaking, but I didn't realize he'd lose it like thst. It was scary.
I'll start off with I am new to TD , I have banked with BMO for the last 15 years. I needed a fresh start & after a long discussion with about 30 friends TD had the most votes, so here I am. Never in 15 years have I walked into a bank & felt anymore than a dollar sign or a criminal, Until I walked into the TD branch in woodstock. Deposited a check, they held all but 200 of it and I needed that 200$ for gas ro visit my sick grandmother before she passed. TD bank said to bad and now I can't see her. TD Canada Trust, you are not for the customer, you're all about making money and policies. I even tried changing the amount available from a check and you wouldn't let me. If I could give you negative stars, I would. All over a simple 200$ check limit.
