Terrible service. I am a real estate lawyer and have banked with TD for years. This is my home branch, although I regularly attend other TD branches closer to my office. I frequently obtain bank drafts for real estate closings, often on a near-daily basis, and this has never been an issue at any other branch. This time, I was told that a bank draft could not be issued until an “verification process” was completed. Can't deposit a check because my name on the check is shortened, for example, Andrew was typed as Andy. Ha ha, this is Canadian way, right!? Just make things simpler, just Andy instead of Andrew, what's wrong about it?
