I just called the Paris branch and asked for their advice regarding a matter that I have been dealing with for the past 4 days involving a branch of the TD in Kitchener. My father-in-law has a sizeable GIC up for renewal next week. The Kitchener Branch insisted the only way to renew the investment was for him to physically come in the branch. Plan B was for him to sign a POA for family to sign on his behalf. This also required him to come into the branch. He is in a retirement home. He can no longer get into a vehicle. He re... read more
