Friendly service I used People's Heritage Bank for several years before moving out of state. Their service was always very good. At the time I used them they offered free checking (not sure if that still holds true), which was a big plus. They did not charge fees like other banks in the area. All in all, if I lived in the area, I would bank with them again.
Great experience... We were a bit hesitant to open our business accounts with Peoples (now Banknorth) due to past experiences with other Banknorth Banks but were pleased with the service we recevied and with the knowledge of the representative that helped us.
